Has been inhabited by humans as early as 8,000 BC.
President George H Bush ate breakfast at the Corner Cafe
Vice President Curtis visited the Riverside Park in the early 30's.
The sting plot in the  movie, The Sting, starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford, was about Riverside Park. 
Harry S. Truman also visited Riverside Park before he would later become president.
Shoji Tabuchi is a world famous fiddler player who began at the Starlight Club and shopped at Red X.
David Frizzell and Shelly West (daughter of Dotty West) spent a secret weekend in Riverside.
Peter Boyle made his last film at the old Skyline Inn in 2006. (All Roads Lead Home)
Charlie Rich, double Grammy award winner, secretly played a few weekends at the Crossroads.
Ed Lothamer played for the Chiefs winning Super Bowl 4 and lived in Indian Hills.
