Gary Brenner
I don't know when I got this history bug, but I knew it was growing in me everyday as I grew older.  I didn't sign up for this history gig.  It's a compelling thing I just  can't explain.  As I continue to age I realize even more how important it is to share what I can- while I can. I don't have ability to "capture" history like I could have when I was younger and I can't tell you how much I regret not capturing history from my elders.

In some ways I did. I had or found the ability to capture back our memories of what I could or what I can and has seemed to be a theme through most of my adult life.

My elected service with Riverside was only four years.  My volunteer service is going on 40+ years to Riverside.

When I'm working on this page, I do think other's will think it's too much about the Brenner's.  I think the same too, but- we can't ignore the fact they were the first permanent settlers and I'm the fifth generation direct son and someday when God calls me, your kids and grand children will be thankful for the memories.

All I know is as long as I'm alive, I plan sharing all I can as long as I can.

There is a song (below) from the Goo Goo Dolls from about 2004 that reflects how I feel. I'm often misunderstood.  Some think I'm rich.  Some think I'm a jerk and a few think I'm a living legend.  Well, on all charges I'm they are probably 33% correct and that's why I have a donate button.  LOL     They aren't my favorite band and the song isn't my most favorite either, but it does explain best about me as I see myself.

You don't have to watch it (although it's pretty good).  Just crank up your sound and just listen.
